Táin Walking Festival 2012

Leenane Mountain Walking Festival 2012

This May will be the 5th year of the Leenane Mountain Walking Festival which has grown from strength to strength and saw over 260 walkers over the weekend in 2011. The festival is a unique combination of mountain and sea as Leenane is situated on the edge of Killary Harbour and surrounded by mountains in all directions. Take part in the first ‘Barefoot’ race in Ireland

The first 'Barefoot' road race in Ireland takes place on Sunday, 11th March in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo at 12pm. Entry fee includes a technical t-shirt and post race refreshsments. Kilconieron 5 mile charity road race in aid of Athenry Cancer Care

The 4th annual staging of the Kilconieron 5 mile charity Road Race takes place on Sunday 26th February. Race starts @ 12 noon and the walkers set off @ 12.10. The race starts and ends at the Kilconieron GAA grounds on the R349 Loughrea-Athenry road taking in some of the finest scenery East Galway has to offer – including the historical townland of Dunsandle and St. Clearns, on a tough but very fair course.
