Take the Dublin Mountains Challenge

The Dublin Mountains Challenge is a challenging trek through the Dublin Mountains which takes place on May 25th and is kindly supported by the Dublin Mountains Partnership. You can choose the full 42km route from Tallaght Stadium to Shankill or the 21km route from Tallaght Stadium to Fairy Castle. Leenane Mountain Walking Festival 2nd May to 4th May 2014

Enjoy a unique combination of mountain and sea as Leenane is situated on the edge of Killary Harbour and surrounded by mountains in all directions. 2013 sees Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team have its busiest year to date

At 11:30 am on the 6th of January 2013 the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain rescue team and the Red Cross Glen of Imaal Mountain rescue team were tasked to an incident in the Miners Village, Glendalough Co Wicklow. The call to a walker with head and neck injuries sustained in a fall would mark the beginning of what would be the busiest year on record for the team.
