Why not run the gauntlet in Killarney on Sunday 16th November at 9am. Voted 30 out of the Top 50 Outdoor Events in 2011 by Outsider Magazine, this race starts covers 13.1 miles Over & Back The Gap of Dunloe finishing outside Kate Kearney’s Cottage. It is open to runners and walkers. You can register online, on the day or on the previous day at Race Pick Up.

On Saturday 15th, Race Pick Up is in Randles Court Hotel. They offer participants discounted accommodation rates also.

There is a T-shirt and customised medal for all the finishers. There are also 2 special T-shirts, one for those who have completed the event Sub 2 Hours, and an even more challenging one of Sub 1 hour 45! The medal itself is unique, as it is in the shape of a shield and the top of the medal is actually the outline of the elevation of the course.

Runners are given tea/coffee/soup in Kate Kearney’s Cottage afterwards, and usually people stay around and have lunch in there also. There are also massage therapists on hand and a DJ to add a bit of atmosphere at the Finish Line.
