It’s the highest mountain in Africa and one of the most famous in the world. Let’s face it, it’s the mountain everyone says they would love to climb and those who have say it was the most exhilarating experience of their lives. So, are you ready for Concern’s seven-day Kilimanjaro trek from 15 August 2013 to 25 August 2013?
The scenic route
Out of the six possible routes to climb Kilimanjaro, Concern have chosen the most scenic of them all: the Machame route. The seven day itinerary on the mountain allows for greater acclimatisation and maximises your chances of reaching the summit. The route provides spectacular scenery – nothing will prepare your eyes for these stunning views!
No technical experience required
This charity trek is calling all of you adventurers with a good level of fitness who enjoy a challenge. Climbing it requires no technical experience. But don’t let fitness levels stand in your way, Concern provide training days once a month so you’ll be well-prepared for the climb in no time at all.
What’s stopping you?
Worried about your fundraising targets? Unsure how fit you need to be? Don’t worry, this is far less daunting than you might think. Concern have got answers to all your questions: read them and prepare to be pleasantly surprised.
Prepare to be overwhelmed
Concern can help prepare you for the practical and physical aspects of this challenge, but nothing can prepare you for the sense of achievement you’ll get when you reach the summit. The trek itself may well leave you breathless but it will be the view from the roof of Africa that takes your breath away for years to come.
