All proceeds of the event will go to DEBRA Ireland. DEBRA Ireland is a national charity which supports patients and families living with the genetic skin condition, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). EB is a very distressing and painful condition which causes the skin layers and internal body linings to separate and blister at the slightest touch. To put it simply children born with the condition, have skin internally and externally that is as delicate and fragile as the wings of a butterfly, and just as easily damaged. The condition is unrelenting and with time the effects it has on those living with it is unimaginable. As our patients grow older, they live with the real and imminent fear of developing a very aggressive form of skin cancer. But DEBRA Ireland offers support and hope for the future for those living with the condition right now.
