In the past three years over €100,000 has been raised for Irish charity DEBRA Ireland through the Wicklow Mountains Half Marathon. DEBRA Ireland was set up by parents who have children born with an extremely painful skin condition known as epidermolysis bullosa (EB). To put it simply children born with the condition, have skin internally and externally that is as delicate and fragile as the wings of a butterfly, and just as easily damaged. The condition is unrelenting and with time the effects it has on those living with it is unimaginable.
