Achill Half Marathon adds a 10k run for fun in 2013

The popular Elverys Sports Achill Half Marathon has given its fans another reason to travel to Achill Island in County Mayo on Saturday, July 6, 2013. Achill ROAR Adventure Race – Sat 8th September

The Achill ROAR Adventure Race returns to Achill on 8th September. This event offers entrants the choice of beginner friendly Mini course (18km), intermediate friendly Sport (31km) or Expert (65km) challenges. All events offer a choice of a short swim or longer kayak or standup paddle board (all equipment supplied) water based section to start in Keel Lough. 26 extreme have just announced plans for the Achill Island Mountain Marathon. Europe's most westerly Mountain marathon will follow a traditional mountain marathon format in which participants (solo or teams of two) navigate their way around a two-day course on Achill Island, albeit with a few twists.
