A few weeks back, we asked you to send in your photos of snow on the Irish Mountains and we had a great response. Such were the number of photos submitted that we had to break the piece into 2 parts.

The third photo in our series 'The Story Behind The Photo' comes from Piaras Kelly and it captures a moment of sheer beauty on Ireland's highest mountain range.

In May 2013 leading, cancer charity Action Cancer is asking people to challenge themselves by climbing the four highest mountains in Ireland to raise vital funds for its services.
The 4 Peaks Challenge will take place over two weekends in May and will visit four Counties – Down, Wicklow, Kerry and Mayo - one in every province of Ireland.
