Trail blazers trek Glendalough to fight blindness

Fighting Blindness has launched its sixth annual Glendalough Trail, taking place in Co. Wicklow on Saturday, October 31, at 11am. Open to all levels of fitness with 15.5km run and 10km jog/walk options. Over 300 embraced the challenge last year raising €17,000 to support research into finding cures and treatments for sight-loss. Run the Line 2012 – in aid of Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team

Run the Line is a charity trail race organised by, and in aid of, the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team. It takes place on 6th October 2012 and is aimed at both the seasoned hill-runner and those runners who want to give the hills a try. A choice of two routes – one long at 28km, the other shorter at 13km, both finishing in the same place – caters for everyone.
