carberycottageSample the hidden delights of the Sheepshead Peninsula
Designated a European Destination of Excellence, The Sheep’s Head Peninsula in West Cork is certainly one of Ireland’s hidden treasures which has some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. The peninsula is popular with walkers and boasts The Sheep’s Head Way, a long distance walk of 88 kilometres, as well as several shorter looped walks from which to explore the peninsula.

This really is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of modern living as, despite its unrivaled charm, the peninsula is still a little visited part of the country. Our advice is to catch it before the crowds arrive!

We have teamed up with Carbery Cottage Guest Lodge, a 3 star failte rated and Georgina Campbell recommended B&B.  Situated on the Sheep’s Head way between Durrus and Ahakista overlooking Dunmanus Bay, this is the ideal location from which to explore the award-winning peninsula.

Carbery Cottage Guest Lodge have provided us with an offer offer of 3 nights for the price of 2 which has been extended to include weekends for those quoting ‘Walking And Hiking Ireland. This is based on 2 people sharing and runs from November until February 28th (excluding 24th Dec- 2 Jan 2014).  Overnight drying and laundry service is available free of charge to walkers together with a drop off and collection service to different start/finish points on the Sheepshead Peninsula. Nightly rates are €40 pps meaning you can avail of 3 nights for just €80 per person based on 2 persons sharing. Single occupancy is € 50 per night.
