Take a Ramble on Rathlin for Hospice this Autumn

Rathlin Island is the fabulous setting for this year’s Hospice Autumn Walk which takes place on the 19th & 20th September 2015.  With breath-taking scenery, rugged landscapes, rare wildlife species, and a rich history, walkers are guaranteed a unique and untamed beauty and tranquillity on Rathlin.

Hospice Public Relations Officer Lisa Mulkerns explains “This year’s walk is absolutely beautiful, it clocks in at just over 7 miles with plenty of wildlife, scenery and heritage to take in… having travelled there to check it out recently it has definitely gone on my list of favourite places to walk! Of course as always banter and craic along the way are also guaranteed!”

DSCN2297The Autumn Walk Package includes coach travel from Newry to Ballycastle and then onto Rathlin by Ferry, a guided walk on Rathlin and an overnight stay in the Marine Hotel, Ballycastle with Dinner, Bed and Breakfast in the Hotel and a night’s post-walk relaxation with fellow walkers, travelling home on Sunday.

Last year’s Autumn Walk to The Causeway Coast was a great success raising over £7,000 for Southern Area Hospice, a fantastic boost to funds.  This year the Hospice Celebrates 25 Years of Local Hospice Care, what better way to show your support than to take part in one of our events!
