Here’s a great shot of what looks a beautiful walk in County Clare. The people at Rockyview Farm B&B took this whilst doing the ” Black Head Loop ” from Fanore , Co Clare on Sunday.

It was a weekend notable for the reinstatement of the cross on Carrauntoohil with the work carried out in quite stunning conditions as a temparature inversion saw cloud on the lower slopes of the mountain.

This fantasic shot of the cross being moved into position on Carrauntoohil comes from Valerie O’Sullivan and is definitely one of the photos of the weekend.

Back to Carrauntoohil and thanks to Piaras Kelly of Kerry Climbing for sharing this picture with us showing the work on re-instating the cross on Ireland’s highest mountain.

 

Meanwhile, the guys from Lugmoquilla were tweeting from the summit of Ireland. What a fantastic place to enjoy a spot of lunch!
