Mevagh Ramblers Walking Club, based in Carrigart, Downings, Rosapenna, NW Donegal, Ireland invite you to join them in this unspoilt historic beauty spot for a weekend of walks by day and culture, good food and traditional music by night.

There will be two walks on each day – one moderate, taking approximately three to four hours, and one strenuous, taking four to five hours. These hikes will explore different terrains including bog roads, heather-covered hills, beaches and lovely headlands overlooking the sea.

Knowledgeable local guides will lead the way and fill you in on details regarding the flora and fauna, as well as history of the area. For example, did you know that the local stone was quarried and used to build Lloyds Bank in London?

By night, enjoy lively music sessions in our local pubs. Local hotels and restaurants will showcase the food for which our area is famous, including mussels, oysters, scallops and salmon from Mulroy Bay. We look forward to seeing you in Donegal.
