Climber, Award Winning Author, Comedian – Andy Kirkpatrick returns to Cork this Friday 19th. Since his last tour in 2011 Andy has been busy climbing all over the world and has a tonne of hilarious new stories to tell. This time around the maverick mountaineer will be talking about climbing El Cap with his 13-year-old daughter (as featured in CBBC’s My Life series), revisiting Norway’s Troll Wall, his latest winter expedition to attempt the North Face of the Eiger and his 2013 trip to Antarctica.
Hugely entertaining so don’t miss out on this fantastic evening with the only “stand-up mountaineer” in the UK!
Gut-wrenching, entertaining and challenging” – The Guardian
More succinctly, Metro magazine claims that he “makes Ray Mears look like Paris Hilton”.
“Andy is one of the funniest of Britain’s top climbers and represents what is best in modern British climbing: boldness, innovation, sense of humour, irreverence, commitment, and an appetite for risk”.
