Thanks to Michael Kinahan for sharing these pics with us of his recent walks.
The first two pics were taken on a walk of Chimney Rock Mountain and the Brandy Pad in the Mourne Mountains. They illustrate the winter conditions that have been present in the Mourne Mountains for a number of weeks. You really only get a feel for the amount of snow when you see it drifted the height of the Mourne Wall.
The next three shots come from a walk up Galtymore and show the icy conditions on the upper slopes of the mountain. Michael was walking Galtymore as part of his round of the County Tops of Ireland.
Thanks again to Michael for the photos. If you have any photos you think we could feature on the website, please feel free to Contact Us.
